0x2026-09-15 00:04:100x says more than half of analyzed Uniswap v4 Hooks were flagged as maliciousDEX aggregator 0x said the number of malicious Uniswap v4 Hooks has risen noticeably in recent weeks, with some Hooks showing attractive quotes during the pricing stage and then changing execution prices at settlement. According to 0x, that behavior can siphon value from users through aggregators, wallets, and trading apps. The firm said it analyzed 84,163 Hooks across six blockchains. As of Sept. 11, only 19.4% were classified as safe, while 54.2% were labeled malicious and another 26.4% were considered likely malicious. 0x added that in some trades routed through malicious v4 Hooks, the amount users actually received was as much as 50% lower than the quoted amount. 0x also said it has routed 81.92 million trades so far this year, representing $42.67 billion in volume, with about 70% of those trades involving Uniswap liquidity. The company said it has already introduced detection systems and liquidity pool review measures to keep the malicious pools out of its routing flow.850
0x2026-09-14 23:42:450x says it has routed 81.92 million trades this year and warns of malicious Uniswap v4 hooksDecentralized exchange infrastructure provider 0x said it has routed 81.92 million trades so far this year, representing $42.67 billion in volume, with roughly 70% of that flow touching Uniswap liquidity. In the same post, the company flagged a rise in malicious Uniswap v4 hooks, describing a pattern in which a hook presents one price during a quote request and a different one at settlement. According to 0x, that behavior can deceive aggregators, wallets, and trading applications and extract value from users. 0x said it analyzed 84,163 hooks across six blockchains. Of that total, 19.4% were classified as safe, 54.2% as malicious, and 26.4% as potentially malicious. The firm added that trades routed through malicious v4 hooks can leave users receiving as much as 50% less than the quoted amount at execution. It cited two examples: hooks in a Base ETH/NVDAc pool that have collected about $143,000 in fees, and hooks in a BNB Chain USDT/WBNB pool that have collected about $18,600. 0x said routers should verify that quoted amounts match actual execution behavior and that it has already implemented detection and pool review measures.850
Pons2026-09-09 08:57:46Pons founder says token tax cannot be changed after launch, blames terminal routing for abnormal displaysPons founder and lead developer Ozzy has pushed back on claims that tokens launched on the platform can have their tax rates changed after going live. In a statement on Sept. 9, he said Pons does not support post-launch tax changes and called the market narrative that 「Pons can adjust taxes after launch」 incorrect. According to the team, the issue stems from some trading terminals routing buy and sell orders to higher-tax liquidity pools instead of the pool initialized by Pons. Pons said its initialized Uniswap V4 pool provides liquidity with a 0% tax rate and a 1% Hook fee, and that this fee is clearly disclosed in all trades. The team added that when malicious actors attempt to 「vamp」 the relevant liquidity pool, some terminals may show higher trading taxes. Because router configurations differ across terminals, and because different terminals may end up selecting different pools, users may see fluctuating tax figures. Ozzy said Pons has asked the affected terminals to correct the issue, arguing that bad routing and inaccurate displays can raise users’ trading costs and trigger unnecessary panic. Pons also said that if users see taxes above 1%, that likely means the trade was routed to the wrong pool, unless the token deployer had set a higher tax at launch.800
